SocialOomph (which was formerly known as TweetLater), has been adding and expanding its suite of social marketing tools to not only help you organize and schedule tweets on Twitter, but also expand out to use with your other social networking accounts like Facebook, ping.fm and any blog that you have.
SocialOomph is a great online tool to help organize and manage the multiple social accounts on the multiple social sites many of us have now. I have found this product to be a real time saver and I like how they are aggressively adding new features and tools to make the product even more valuable. Here is a quick overview of a few key features that I utilize.
New Blog Management Feature
You can now add blogs to your portfolio of social accounts in your SocialOomph account, and schedule feature-rich blog posts for those blogs in real time or in advance. SocialOomph makes it very easy now to fully integrate your social information distribution activities from one central platform and that saves me time.
What I really like about the new blog feature is it gives me the ability to utilize ping.fm to distribute my new post across a variety of social sites automatically. I can also set it up to share my new blog post several times (but not to many), so that it gets maximum exposure to my followers and friends around the world.
You can add as many blogs and many types of blogs to your SocialOomph account. WordPress (hosted on wordpress.com and self-hosted), Blogger, Tumblr, Drupal, Joomla! and more. So it really does give you some added flexibility and saves you time.
Schedule Tweets and Updates in Advance
SocialOomph allows me to schedule tweets, as well as ping.fm and Facebook updates in advance. I do not advocate spamming followers and friends with the same tweets or updates over and over again, but there times when sending out messages or tweets at different times of the day or over a few days can be effective in cutting through the mass of chatter.
SocialOomph allows you to schedule a tweet or update in advance , decide when you want it to post and even allows you to send out the message multiple times. Again, Ido not advocate using this for spamming, but it can be helpful when you are trying to reach out to a global network. The key is to keep you content fresh and value added.
Social Automation Tools
I am an advocate of the effective use of social automation tools, as long as you follow social etiquette and do not annoy friends and followers with junk posts and tons of spam tweets. Like I said, keep it current, keep it informative and do not over post the same information and you will grow your network of followers and friends.
SocialOomph offers a Free version as well as a Professional version (which I use), that offers more features and tools.
